Our Story

A passion for Jack Russell Terriers, a commitment to quality, and a dedication to family

Hi Everyone!

I'm Zaranna Kemp, a small-town southern girl who has been around Jack Russells since I was 5 years old. My grandpa loved his Jacks—they were his best farm helpers by far. Growing up around these amazing dogs, I developed a deep love and respect for the breed that has shaped my life.

I work very closely with local vets to ensure all of my animals get the absolute best care. I raise my Jacks to be healthy, happy puppies with incredible temperaments. I want them to be able to go outside and be functional dogs—whether that's on the farm, in the dove field, in the woods hunting, or being shown competitively all day—and then come inside at night and lay down and snuggle with their family.

I decided to start raising Jacks because of my love for the breed. My Jacks are sweet, intelligent, and always devoted 100% in any discipline they're taught. All the Jacks I raise are well-behaved and well-rounded, so I decided I wanted to share them with the world. Every puppy that leaves our home is a reflection of our values: quality, health, and love.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with any questions about our dogs. I love talking about my Jacks and helping families find the perfect companion for their home!

Why Jack Russells?

A Breed Like No Other

Jack Russell Terriers are small dogs with passionate personalities. When they're with their families, they're affectionate, playful, and endlessly entertaining. They're incredibly loyal. These little dynamos were bred to hunt foxes—and that determination shows in everything they do.

Perfect for All Families

Jacks thrive with families they’re content to be couch buddies after a good day of play. But they can excel in agility competitions, hunting, farm work, and as therapy dogs. They adapt to their family's lifestyle while bringing endless joy and energy.

Our Commitment to the Breed

My breeding program is built on generations of knowledge and love for this breed. Every dog I breed is health-tested, temperament-assessed, and carefully matched with families who will give them the life they deserve. I don't breed for looks alone—I breed for health, temperament, and the ability to thrive in a family environment.

Health Testing: SCA & PLL CLEAR

All our dogs and puppies are SCA & PLL clear.

SCA - Spinocerebellar Ataxia

Spinocerebellar Ataxia is an early onset, inherited neurologic disease affecting Jack Russell Terriers. Dogs with this disease present with incoordination and loss of balance between 2 to 6 months of age. The disease is progressive with affected dogs developing a "prancing" gait and often falling.

With this form of ataxia, dogs may also have episodes of muscle twitching and rigidity that can appear like seizures, but dogs are aware of their surroundings during these attacks. The episodes of muscle twitching get worse with age and dogs are at risk of overheating.

Affected dogs can also experience true epileptic seizures. Dogs with spinocerebellar ataxia are usually euthanized by 2 years of age due to poor quality of life.

PLL - Primary Lens Luxation

Primary Lens Luxation (PLL) is a well-recognised, painful and blinding inherited eye condition that affects many breeds of dog, particularly terrier and terrier-type breeds including Jack and Parson Russell terriers.

In affected dogs, the zonular fibres which support the lens breakdown or disintegrate, causing the lens to fall into the wrong position within the eye. If the lens falls into the anterior chamber of the eye, glaucoma and loss of vision can quickly result.

Our Commitment to Health

These are horrible diseases that are common to Jacks. Even if you choose not to buy from us, please make sure that any puppy you get is SCA & PLL clear. It would be better to pay a little more now than pay thousands later in veterinary bills and heartbreak.
